Training for local emergency responders, managers, planners and Deaf and Hard of Hearing consumers.  The goal of this course is to encourage networking, preparation and communication between the two communities prior to a disaster situation.

Attendees will be educated on the various types of communication preferences and on how to determine the most appropriate accommodation. Deaf and Hard of Hearing Consumers will identify tools in working with emergency responders in order to develop comprehensive disaster preparedness efforts at the local and state level.</description>
